Job Description:
- Responsible for following all safety policies and procedure and wearing proper PPE.
- Perform work in a manner that supports Client Quality standards and systems.
- Assist material handler in Q69/warehouse area pick orders and prepare orders for shipment.
- Assist material handler with pickup from Metro warehouse as needed.
- Assemble small and large components to form sub-assemblies or completed assemblies using hand tools, air tools, rivet guns, operate the base robot and sub-assembly machines.
- Build devices per drawing, routing, and work instruction.
- Perform quality checks consistent with the Inspection and control plans.
- Inventory/replenish parts to assembly stations. Use the Kanban system to assure availability of parts.
- Read orders and drawings to determine assembly procedures such as component types and configuration, mounting locations and clearances required.
- Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and orderly manner and maintain 5S in the area.
- Work with various groups of employees in team-based environment, cross-train on all assembly lines and help train new employees.
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.
- Lift 40 pounds repeatedly and able to safely team lift items exceeding that weight and able to stand/walk for a working shift.
- Working knowledge of assembly machinery and tools.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures while supporting Client Quality standards and systems.
- Assist in material handling and order preparation for shipment.
- Assemble components into sub-assemblies or completed assemblies according to specifications.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure product integrity.
- Manage inventory and replenish parts to assembly stations efficiently.
- Read orders and drawings to determine assembly procedures accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas.
- Compliance with all safety policies and procedures and wearing proper PPE.
- Ability to perform work in alignment with Client Quality standards and systems.
- Proficiency in assembling components using hand tools, air tools, and assembly machinery.
- Capability to conduct quality checks and read orders and drawings accurately.
- Capacity to lift 40 pounds repeatedly and stand/walk for a working shift.
- Working knowledge of assembly machinery and tools.
- Previous experience in assembly or manufacturing.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems, particularly the Kanban system.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
