Job Title: Global Social Media Manager
Overview: At Aptean, we enable organizations to achieve their business goals with industry-specific software solutions. We are looking for a Senior Social Media Strategist to lead our global social media efforts, driving brand awareness, engagement and strategic growth across multiple platforms. This role requires a seasoned social media expert with a strong ability to develop, execute and optimize a comprehensive global social media strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy Development & Execution: Design and implement a global social media strategy that aligns with Aptean’s business objectives, increasing brand awareness and engagement across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, and YouTube.
- Content Creation & Management: Develop compelling social media content, including copywriting and design elements, ensuring consistency in brand voice, messaging, and visual identity.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales, product, and regional teams to ensure alignment and integration of social media efforts with broader company initiatives.
- Employee Advocacy & Executive-Level Strategy: Develop and implement a strategy for employee advocacy, including executive-level social media presence and content guidance.
- Paid Social Collaboration: Partner with paid media teams to ensure alignment between organic and paid social strategies for maximum reach and engagement.
- Performance Analytics & Optimization: Track and analyze key performance indicators, using data-driven insights to optimize content and strategy for maximum impact. Present KPI results on a regular basis to stakeholders.
- Reputation Management: Monitor brand sentiment and proactively address issues, managing crisis communications as needed.
- Leadership Engagement: Present insights, strategies, and performance metrics to executive leadership, advocating for social media initiatives that drive business growth.
- Competitive Analysis & Benchmarking: Conduct regular assessments of competitor social strategies to identify opportunities and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field required.
- 5 years of professional experience managing a global social media strategy in a corporation.
- Proven ability to create and execute compelling social media content, including writing and basic design work.
- Required knowledge of the main social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, and YouTube.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Excellent writing and editing skills required with an acute attention to detail, and the ability to understand technical concepts and explain their benefits to target audiences.
- Experience and judgment to work comfortably with executives and collaboratively with the communications team.
- Experience working collaboratively across teams, including leadership and peers across multiple geographies.
- Skilled in presenting strategy and insights to executive stakeholders.
- Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite) and design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite) preferred.
