Job Overview:

This part-time Client Relationship Director role will serve as an advisor with established industry relationships to grow and support APTIM's retail and logistics client markets. This position involves direct engagement with APTIM's existing commercial clients and includes collaborating with APTIM's account managers for cross-selling other service areas within APTIM (such as solid waste and energy solutions) and capturing new customers that will allow APTIM to grow.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Leveraging existing industry relationships to develop new customer business to APTIM.
  • Contribute to business development activities within retail and logistics client markets.
  • Assist with developing and implementing strategic market/business plans, advisor to help the team expand APTIM's Environmental Solutions service areas and client base.
  • Act as "technical advisor" to existing project team to provide ideas to solve existing client challenges related to environmental compliance.
  • Serve as a key member of APTIM's "core" growth team to drive profitable growth of APTIM's Environmental Solutions business across North America.
  • Help monitor market conditions, innovations and trends, technology, and competitors' performance, pricing and sales strategies to maximize competitive stance.
  • Develop a working understanding of APTIM's other consulting practice areas and actively support cross-selling other services to expand existing client relationships that generate repeat business.
  • Advise APTIM's efforts in marketing and sales of large projects/programs, teaming partnerships and client engagement activities to implement business development initiatives.
  • As needed participation in and attendance of technical seminars and industry events, including regional and national trade shows, to expand market penetration of APTIM's services.
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected; anticipates and interprets customer needs to identify solutions.
  • As needed participation during APTIM's capabilities presentations with customers.
  • Ability to travel, if necessary, to perform duties.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience
  • Develops processes and procedures to implement functional strategies.
  • Has in-depth expertise in own discipline and knowledge of the related disciplines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong technical, project management, fiscal management and employee and client relations skills.
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) skills, including technical report writing, presentations and data evaluation capabilities.
  • Proven experience in developing and maintaining long term client relationships.
  • Candidate must be able to represent APTIM with new and existing clients.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including being capable of tracking simultaneous deliverables and deadlines, at times for multiple clients.
  • Proficiency with computer applications, including WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT and ADOBE products.
  • Short term travel may be required to support project/program needs.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License.
