Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a highly qualified Construction Manager to join our team for DOD Petroleum, Oils, and Lubricants (POL) Fuels contracts at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam in Hawaii. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the management and execution of fuels-related projects for the Department of Defense (DOD), ensuring efficient and effective delivery of services while adhering to all contractual requirements and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to oversee all aspects of DOD POL Fuels contracts at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, including procurement, storage, distribution, and quality control.
- Assist in the development and implementation of project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with client requirements and contractual obligations.
- Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and DOD representatives to ensure project objectives are met within scope, budget, and timeline constraints.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement effective mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Conduct inspections to assess safety compliance, and quality standards.
- Assist in the preparation of project documentation, reports, and presentations for stakeholders and regulatory agencies.
- Manage client communications and ensure timely and accurate responses to inquiries and requests.
- Collaborate with procurement specialists to facilitate the acquisition of fuels and related resources, complying with DOD procurement regulations.
- Support contract administration activities, including invoicing, budget tracking, and change order management.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to fuels management and incorporate relevant updates into project plans and procedures.
- Uphold a strong commitment to safety, environmental compliance, and quality assurance throughout all project phases.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Familiarity with DOD regulations and guidelines governing fuels procurement, storage, distribution, and quality control.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6).
- Knowledge of safety regulations and practices applicable to fuels handling and storage operations.
- Ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances as required by DOD contracts.
- Experience working in a military or federal government environment is a plus.
- Flexibility to travel as needed to support project requirements.
