Job Overview

APTIM is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Management Information System (EMIS) Digital Solutions Practice Leader with 10 years demonstrated experience on efforts related to EMIS solutions sales, client account development and program management. This role is a key element of APTIM's growth strategy to expand our consultancy services related to EH&S, Sustainability and Environmental Social Governance (ESG) digital services delivery, recruiting/management of APTIM's EMIS subject matter experts and development/management of APTIM's software vendor partnerships. This is an excellent career opportunity for a motivated senior leader who can apply their experience in support of our team's growth to build market presence, opportunity pipeline and revenues.

APTIM has a long history of EMIS digital solutions services from assisting clients with solutions assessments to system evaluation and implementation of enterprise-wide systems. Our teams are well versed in the data management aspects of our client's needs, but we are environmental experts first. We feel it is critical that an implementer have a solid understanding of our client's business model and their compliance drivers.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

Business Development

  • Directly responsible for an annual sales goal and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software sales pipeline goal.
  • As a Sales Director (senior "seller/doer"), personally win new digital solutions business. Identify and develop new opportunities, prepare effective technical proposals, and take an active leadership role in developing new business with new and existing clients. Develop and expand client relationships that generate repeat business.
  • Develop and implement strategic business and action plans, provide leadership, and deliver performance results to expand APTIM's digital solutions support business and client base.
  • Expand our consultancy services related to digital solutions delivery including artificial intelligence (AI).
  • Responsible for leveraging existing client relationships as new customer business to APTIM within an agreeable timeline.
  • Must have demonstrated proposal preparation skills along with ability to strategize and develop capture plans for new client pursuit and existing client retention/growth.
  • Lead the pursuit and hiring of subject matter experts as part of the overall strategy to grow this business line. Secure appropriate resources for new project work, bolster APTIM's bench strength and increase APTIM's competitive advantage.
  • Monitor market conditions, innovations and trends, technology, and competitors' performance, pricing, and sales strategies to maximize competitive stance.
  • Participate in and attend technical seminars and industry events including regional and national trade shows to expand market penetration of APTIM's services. Serve as active participant on the company capabilities presentation team with customers.
  • Develop and drive partnerships with variety of EMIS software companies to position APTIM for future work and marketing opportunities.
  • Coordinate with other APTIM business development and account managers to identify and support new EMIS opportunities.

Project Leader

  • Develop and manage strategic digital solutions programs for a variety of clients with complex technical/regulatory issues. Design and direct large programs/projects and multi-person project teams. Achieve client expectations for scope, budget, schedule, and quality.
  • Leverage technical skills to help teams drive double-digit profitable growth across service lines (e.g. effectively working with key clients by assisting them with their digital solutions software selection, implementation, system integration, training, rollout, support, maintenance, and improvements).
  • Serve as client-facing subject matter expert and lead business analyst in support of projects requiring advanced configuration in one or more industry standard platforms (e.g., Cority, Enablon, Intelex, etc.).
  • As a Seller-Doer, you will directly affect the revenue, profitability, cash flow and repeat business of the company through the ability to develop client relationships and lead teams in successfully delivering quality consulting services.
  • Assist with all aspects of project start-up including project planning, staffing, budgeting, create tasks and direction for the staff, manage project and client through ramp-up phase of the project.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, environmental science, information technology, management information systems or related degree.
  • 10 years' of software sales experience related to environmental, safety, process improvement, sustainability or energy management information systems.
  • Business analysis certification and/or experience.
  • Proven track record in developing, managing, and executing client solutions.
  • Experience and confidence to grow business in a dynamic market environment.
  • Strong business acumen with deep industry relationships and vendor/product/service partnerships
  • An established reputation in the marketplace.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability to build, coach, and mentor collaborative teams.
  • Excellent communication (written/verbal), strategic thinking, negotiation, presentation, and "people" skills.
  • Must be a self-starter, organized and have an ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office software.
  • Tangible and documented project management experience.
  • Ability to travel as necessary to successfully perform duties

Desired/Preferred Qualifications

  • EMIS implementation and client management experience
  • 10 years' of EMIS/EHS related experience.
  • Proven technical experience with two or more vendor product solutions in the environmental, safety, or sustainability market (e.g., Cority, Enablon, Intelex, Sphera Solutions, etc.)
  • Experience in Salesforce or similar CRM software
