Job Summary:
We are looking for a talented Power BI Developer/Analyst to join our team. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving Power BI reports and dashboards, ensuring that our data is presented clearly and accurately to support decision-making across various departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and datasets based on user requirements.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into actionable insights.
- Extract, clean, and manipulate data from multiple sources (SQL databases, Excel, APIs, etc.).
- Create interactive and visually appealing Power BI dashboards with a strong emphasis on data visualization best practices.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy in reporting and analysis.
- Troubleshoot and optimize Power BI reports to improve performance.
- Work closely with other teams, such as data engineers and analysts, to streamline data workflows and improve reporting capabilities.
- Implement security measures to control access to sensitive data within reports and dashboards.
- Stay updated on the latest Power BI features, trends, and industry best practices.
- Provide training and support to end-users in using Power BI for self-service analytics.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI (Desktop, Service, Power Query).
- Strong understanding of data modeling, DAX (Data Analysis Expressions), and Power BI report optimization.
- Experience with SQL, relational databases, and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with integrating Power BI with other Microsoft products (Excel, Azure, etc.).
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and data models.
- Strong communication skills to work with non-technical stakeholders and present complex data in an understandable way.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud-based data solutions (Azure, AWS, etc.).
- Power BI certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate).
- Familiarity with advanced analytics tools or techniques, such as R or Python integration in Power BI.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- 6 years of experience in a Power BI development or data analytics role.
