About Us:
Aptiva Health is a rapidly expanding multi-specialty group with locations throughout Kentucky. We are currently looking to hire a full time Accounts Receivable Specialist.
Job Summary:
Our growing organization has an immediate need for a full-time professional, detail oriented and knowledgeable. The AR Specialist will be responsible for assisting the revenue cycle management department. If you have experience in Accounts Receivable, follow-up at a medical practice, we encourage you to apply for this position.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Review unpaid claims and research reasons for delay in payment.
- Initiate collection follow-up of unpaid or denied claims with the appropriate Payer.
- Research, appeal and resolve claim partial payments and denials with Payers.
- Process appeals by gathering information and resubmitting claims.
- Communicate payment or denial trending issues/concerns that impact revenue to leadership.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members and Payer representatives.
- Contact insurance companies and attorneys to work out any discrepancies and obtain bill status in order to obtain proper reimbursement.
- Review outstanding accounts receivables for assigned Payers and master aging report.
- Process any adjustments as needed.
Requirements:
- 1 year of experience in medical office setting preferred.
- 1 year of Accounts Receivable experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology.
- Proficiency with EMR systems and software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
