Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring positive post-operative outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Monitor patients post-surgery to ensure their safe recovery from anesthesia
- Assess patient conditions and implement appropriate nursing interventions
- Manage acute pain levels and administer medications as needed
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care plans
- Maintain infection control protocols to safeguard patient health
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding post-operative care
Experience
- Prior experience in acute pain management and critical care settings is preferred
- Knowledge of trauma medicine, behavioral health, geriatrics, and airway management is advantageous
- Familiarity with infection control practices and physiology knowledge is beneficial
- Experience in spinal tap procedures is a plus
