Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a Level I Trauma Center providing care to critically ill patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care in the ICU setting
- Monitor and assess patients' conditions and report changes to the healthcare team
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Assist with procedures such as catheter care, wound care, and other interventions
- Utilize electronic health record systems like Cerner for documentation
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients
Experience
- Must have a valid nursing license
- Previous experience in ICU or acute care settings is preferred
- Knowledge of medical-surgical nursing practices
- Familiarity with infectious disease care protocols
- Ability to provide specialized care for patients with developmental disabilities
- Proficiency in laboratory values interpretation and anatomy knowledge
