Job Overview
The Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical position at our facility offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled and compassionate nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, report changes to healthcare providers
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
- Utilize Athenahealth or similar electronic health record systems effectively
- Perform triage assessments and prioritize patient needs
- Assist in case management coordination for optimal patient outcomes
- Utilize sterile processing techniques as required
- Apply knowledge of internal medicine, hospice palliative medicine, and long-term care practices
- Participate in teaching hospital initiatives for staff and patients
Experience
- Previous experience in medical/surgical nursing preferred
- Familiarity with dermal fillers is a plus
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in triage, hospice palliative care, or long-term care settings is advantageous
