Job Title: Associate Technician (Lab Tech I)

Location: On-site M-F I care Labs 4399 35th St North, St. Petersburg, FL 33714

Duration: 3 Month Contract to Hire

First Shift:

Mon – Fri: 7:00am to 3:30pm

Second Shift:

Mon - 3:00pm - 1:00am

Tues - Thurs: 3:30pm - 1:00am

Fri: 3:30pm - 7:30pm

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

In surfacing, you may work as:

· A Machine Operator, preparing and operating the automated machines in the surfacing process (tapers, generators, polishers, laser engravers, deblockers, detapers, spin coaters).

· In the coating area, you may work as:

· A Lens Washer, conducting a brief cosmetic inspection, loading lenses into a basket for ultra-sonic cleaning, unloading lenses from baskets and placing into a tray. Hand washing lenses as needed.

· A Sandblaster, operating a sandblasting machine gun to clean the surface of the coating equipment.

· In finishing, you may work as:

· Matchup, matching lenses coming off the surfacing production line with the respective frame to begin the finishing process.

· A Tinter, accurately tinting lenses.

· Regardless of what your focus area is, you will have the following duties and responsibilities:

· Adheres to and motivates others to follow work instructions.

· Completes equipment calibration and setup; promptly communicates any maintenance issues to Supervisor.

· Proactively identifies quality, process, and workflow problems; informs Supervisor of any outstanding or re-occurring issues.

· Actively communicates and shares information and expectations with Supervisor; participates in team meetings and focus groups and offers input on facility issues.

· Demonstrates a positive attitude; treats all associates with respect and dignity. Reports any issues/concerns to Supervisor.

· Actively supports management decisions and communicates concerns when appropriate.

· Maintains a clean, safe work area; notifies Supervisor of potential safety/health issues.

· Maintains adherence to company policies.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $6.00 - $7.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
