- This role may involve shifts that are not finalized at the time of hire. Candidates must demonstrate flexibility and openness to a broad range of scheduling possibilities.
- Candidates selected for this role are expected to disclose and coordinate any additional employment to avoid conflicts with assigned shifts.
- Six (6) Full-time Medical Technologists. Conduct tests to check for diseases, infections, or health issues, such as blood counts, cholesterol levels, and tests for pathogens like bacteria or viruses. After running tests, they interpret the results and record them in the patient’s medical record. These results are then used by doctors to make diagnoses and treatment decision
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for performing all procedures on a rotation basis in the clinical department on a diverse age population.
- Ensure that laboratory instruments are working properly, calibrated, and sanitized.
- Ensure that all tests are done accurately, and they often perform quality control checks to maintain the integrity of results.
- Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to discuss test results and provide insights.
Requirements:
- Associate’s Degree or higher in related field.
- Current, full and unrestricted certification with ASCP.
