The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma and a strong commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This role involves performing a variety of cleaning tasks using hand or lightweight powered cleaning equipment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of cleaning tasks to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Use hand or lightweight powered cleaning equipment to clean floors, walls, windows, and other surfaces.
• Dispose of waste materials according to established procedures.
• Restock cleaning supplies and report any shortages or needed repairs.
• Follow all safety guidelines and infection control procedures.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
• Respond promptly to cleaning emergencies and requests from hospital staff.
• Maintain records of cleaning activities and report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
• Assist with the setup and teardown of special events as needed.

Work Environment:

• The position involves working in a healthcare environment, including patient rooms, operating rooms, and other medical facilities.
• Exposure to cleaning chemicals and hazardous materials, with appropriate protective equipment provided.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a cleaning or janitorial role, preferably in a healthcare setting, is a plus.
• Ability to operate hand or lightweight powered cleaning equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
• Knowledge of safety and infection control procedures.
• Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Ability to pass any required government background check
