Position: Director Agile Program Manager
Rate: $100 – 110 per hour (USD)
Expected Start Date: ASAP
Location: Irving, TX
Contract Duration: 6 months (potential to extend through December 2025 and convert to a permanent position based on performance)
Project Overview
Sonepar, the world’s largest B2B electrical products company, has partnered with Sapient to develop Spark, a cutting-edge omni-channel platform. As part of this initiative, Sonepar is migrating its North American operating companies (OPCOs) to Spark and building out features to support the unique needs of these OPCOs.
Position Summary
As the Agile Delivery Lead, you will ensure the successful implementation and delivery of value for transformative, end-to-end Agile client engagements. You will oversee program or portfolio-level processes and execution, focusing on continuous improvement, team productivity, and value-based outcomes. This role requires managing globally distributed teams to deliver impactful software and business outcomes while driving cultural change and fostering strong communication across all organizational levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Leadership
- Lead Agile engagements across diverse programs, ensuring delivery of best-in-class outcomes.
- Define and implement the most suitable methods for engagement delivery.
- Guide teams on product engineering and drive continuous improvement focused on value, flow, and quality for end-customers.
- Business Transformation
- Partner with clients to plan, evolve, and execute customer-focused digital business transformation (DBT) strategies.
- Facilitate budget planning for value-based DBT engagements.
- Team Leadership
- Promote coaching, individual development, and high-performance standards within a positive team environment.
- Foster autonomy, mastery, and purpose to maximize client business outcomes.
- Process and Metrics
- Track and evaluate delivery metrics to drive continuous improvement in flow, quality, and value realization.
- Drive a culture of self-organization and empowerment within teams.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with senior leaders, including C-level executives, to drive business outcomes and transformation.
- Support account-level planning and articulate engagement commercial metrics (e.g., client outcomes, burn rate, revenue, and margins).
- Thought Leadership
- Contribute to the Agile Project Management Domain by mentoring others, sharing knowledge, and implementing best practices.
- Participate in proposal sales efforts and advocate for Publicis Sapient’s value proposition.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven ability to lead globally distributed, high-performing teams in Agile/Scrum/SAFe constructs.
- Expertise in partnering with clients to achieve business transformation through digital methods.
- Strategic mindset with deep knowledge of technology, project delivery, and industry verticals.
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills, comfortable addressing senior executives.
- Experience conducting Agile maturity assessments and implementing engineering/agile maturity frameworks.
- Deep knowledge of design thinking/user-centered design practices.
- Strong conflict resolution, analytical, and leadership skills.
Preferred Industry Experience
- Retail industry experience.
- Familiarity with the B2B space.
