Summary

The mission of the Customer Service Process Specialist is to establish and develop relationships with current and potential Aqua-Aerobic Systems customers by optimizing their process operations and expanding their process knowledge.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Support current and future AAS municipal and industrial customers by providing process start-up, training and by preventing or resolving process related issues with all AAS products. Support may be in the form of phone calls, emails, or plant visits during normal duty hours or after hours on an as-needed basis.
2. Create, maintain and provide education on AAS products to current and future AAS customers especially as it relates to process operations and maintenance.
3. Review plant performance data against plant design data and offer technical assistance to maintain or improve plant process operational efficiency to include achieving new performance limits.
4. Operate all AAS equipment including all control systems according to published O & M information and be able to provide training on the same.
5. Inspect site equipment, processes and procedures for the purpose of trouble-shooting, documenting existing conditions and recommending improvements for process operation to include advanced subjects such as biological nutrient removal, membrane filtration, etc.
6. With support of mechanical and electrical engineering, trouble shoot equipment related to our process and perform repairs or adjustments to include downloading PLC changes as appropriate.
7. Perform laboratory testing to include jar testing and microscopic work to support process operations.
8. Author the Operator Newsletter that goes out to all of Aqua-Aerobic’s cloth media and SBR customers.
9. Perform routing monitoring of Aqua-Aerobic’s Intellipro customer installation base.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

knowledge, skills and abilities

Former plant operator who understands water and wastewater treatment chemistry, activated sludge process and filtration. Mechanically inclined. Excellent communication skills. Proficient with MS Office software. Up to 75% travel. Knowledge of membranes is a plus.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

May provide indirect supervision of 1 to 2 people at the time of start-up and operator training.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Usual office working conditions with moderate noise such as computers and printers, telephones and copy machines.

Minimum qualifications

Associates degree in technical or related field and a minimum of 3 years of related training and experience or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
