What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lifeguard position at Aqua Club?
Lifeguard Responsibilities:
- Supervise individuals in the swimming pool to ensure their safety. In emergencies, assess the situation and make decisions based on the facility's Emergency Action Plan (EAP). Must be capable of performing CPR, using an AED correctly, and administering first aid as necessary.
- Provide emergency care before the arrival of emergency medical services.
- Communicate the facility's safety regulations to patrons effectively.
- Proficient in engaging with individuals of various ages and diverse backgrounds.
- Adhere to all mandated cleaning protocols for the swimming pool, wading pool, locker rooms, tennis courts, office, and adjacent areas.
- Execute all required procedures for the opening and closing of the facility.
- Maintain checklists, records, and reports as needed.
Lifeguard Requirements:
- Minimum age of 16 years.
- Lifeguarding certification is mandatory.
- Current certifications in CPR/AED and First Aid are required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted, repeatedly throughout the workday.
- Capable of remaining in the water for extended periods during the day.
- Must successfully pass a background check before employment.
- Consistent attendance and performance are mandatory.
