ABOUT THE JOB
The Public Area Attendant is responsible for the upkeep and cleanliness of assigned areas. This includes guest hallways, stairwells, elevators, hallway windows, floors, trash chutes, etc. You will be part of the guest experience, so you will interact with guests in a friendly and courteous manner while providing assistance and directions.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions
- Cleans public area floors to include sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, disinfecting, etc.
- Properly sets up appropriate caution and safety signs to ensure safety of visitors; removes signs as appropriate
- Removes dirt, dust, grease, film, etc., from surfaces using proper cleaning/disinfecting solutions
- Handles hazardous cleaning supplies according to proper procedures and ensures accurate labeling
- Ensures water marks are removed from fixtures
- Logs cleaning activities as required by the resort
- Monitors cleaning supplies and reports inventory to the supervisor
- Reports any equipment irregularities to the supervisor
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast- paced environment
- Assist in maintaining housekeeping storerooms, closets and offices
- Complete and return public area work sheets daily
- Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements
- Standing & walking for long period
- Regularly lift up to 25 -50 lbs
- Frequent twisting, bending, stooping and reaching
