Industrial Hydro-Blasting / Vacuuming Technicians Job Description:
- Aqua Power employees become a part of our 3-man work crews. These crews utilize high-pressure water spraying systems & industrial vacuum trucks in various commercial/industrial settings (we do not work on private, non commercial jobs), expect physical / dirty work & varying environments.
- Working environments include: Ethanol, Bio-Diesel, Food Processing plants. Paper Manufacturing & Waste Management companies. Local City's public works & utilities. Iron Ore mines & processing facilities. Inside & outside locations, all seasons, all shifts.
- Employees maybe working with: hand tools, power tools, lifting devices, low & high-pressure hydro-blasting guns & attchments, pumps, vacuum truck hoses & various other cleaning devices for extended periods of time.
- Aqua Power positions are year-round. The majority of assigned jobs are local locations w/out overnight stays. Shifts vary in time lengths: 4, 8, 10, 12's, with maximum to not exceed 16 hours(double shift). We are a 24/7/365 on-call company. Aqua Power is considered an "essential work company," during the recent COVID-19 pandemic, we did not downsize staff or layoff!
Requirements:
- Minimum of 18 years old
- Ability for excellent attendance.
- Ability to work a maximum of 16 hours, which could include nights & weekends (rare shift, but possible).
- Speak, read, & write English language at a level to allow you to follow safety training, respond & understand job instructions & neccessary emergency information in a EMS situation.
- Physical ability minimums: Lifting arms overhead, lift up to 50 pounds, hear & distinguish emergency signals while on duty, bend at waist, stoop, squat, kneel, reach, & crawl.
- Tolerate being wet, being in a confined space, work on ladders, scaffolding, or other height equipment, in dusty areas requiring respirators, in areas of loud noises/machinery.
- Ability to work in extreme conditions (in & outdoors).
- Wear & utilize all types of company provided PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Work occasional travel job- in or out of Minnesota state (ND, SD, IA, WI).
Education/Training:
High School Diploma or GED is minimum education requirement.
Aqua Power provides all training for equipment / job duties (paid training).
