Aqua-Tots Aquatic Director
Aqua-Tots Swim Schools is now interviewing Aquatic Director candidates for Aqua-tots Centreville, indoor facility locations that will be opening in opening month and year. This is a full-time position for someone who is career-oriented with some business or management experience and who is fun, friendly and loves the business of teaching children 4 months to 12 years of age. Ideal candidates will possess a minimum of 2 years experience working in a business environment and have experience in operations, management and team building. Previous experience teaching swim lessons and working with children is recommended, but not required. Responsibilities include the implementation and management of Aqua-Tots Teaching Curriculum, training new aquatic team members the Aqua-Tots Teaching Curriculum, direct supervision of Aqua-Tots Swim Instructors, and upholding the quality and consistency of Aqua-Tots swim lessons. Aquatic Director (AD) Job Responsibilities and Requirements are as Follows:
- Previous swim instruction, lifeguard, aquatics, or swim coach experience is a plus, but not required
- Experience working with children (examples include sports coach, camp counselor, or similar experience)
- Relate well to children, parents, team members, and have superior communication skills
- Flexible schedule – candidates must have availability to work weekdays and weekends
- Maintain a current AT-WSI Certification within Aqua-Tots Swim Schools (following employment)
- Lifeguard certification (following employment)
- Have intermediate level computer skills required using Word, Excel and other software systems
- Leadership and management of swim instruction staff and Water Safety Program
- AT-WSI Scheduling
- AT-WSI Training and Performance Evaluations
- Customer Service
- Coordinate and manage pool operations- implementing local Public Health Department standards/guidelines
