Job Summary
Aqua is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Engineer to join our team. As a Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in planning and managing water and sewer improvement projects in the state of Illinois.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement plans for assigned divisions/systems
• Manage design and implementation of water and sewer improvement projects
• Collaborate with hydraulic modeling teams to identify and mitigate system-wide challenges
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and obtain necessary permits
• Coordinate and manage construction projects, including bidding, scheduling, and cost estimating
• Collaborate with consultants to obtain necessary easements for projects
• Manage project financials, including work orders, purchase orders, and invoicing
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Illinois or ability to obtain within three years
• Two or more years of experience in water and wastewater management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
