Service Technician

• Preferred to have experience to troubleshoot, repair, or replace pumps, filters, heaters, floor cleaning and saltwater systems on inground swimming pools.
• Experienced in PVC plumbing repairs.
• Perform pool opening and closing services.
• Provide pool and spa maintenance and chemical service.
• Ability to work overtime including Saturday morning during peak season.
• Work independently or as a part of a team.
• Must be dependable.
• Valid driver’s license preferred
• You do need to be able to lift 50 to 100 lbs.
• Responsibilities:
• Driving the company vehicle to customer’s location
• Maintaining equipment and chemical (some hazardous) stock levels in the company vehicle
• Operates and inspects tools and equipment, making minor adjustments/repairs
• Cleaning swimming pool (vacuum, telescopic pole to remove debris, etc.) using authorized equipment
• Making sure pool covers, diving boards and slides are in good working order
• Reporting equipment faults or water quality problems to management
• Fitting and repairing pipes and plumbing for pools and spas
• Repairing lighting issues above and below water level
• Reporting any cracks, decaying of swimming area
• Cleaning/servicing swimming pool filtration units
• Servicing heating, circulation and de-humidifier systems
• Servicing and fixing/replacing faulty pool cleaning equipment
• Cleaning up work area to insure the customer is satisfied
• Completing paperwork and reporting service requirements to management.
• Requirements:
• High school diploma
• Previous experience as a Pool Technician is preferred
• Must be efficient, organized, personable and poised
• Knowledge of proper pool cleaning and maintenance methods
• Extensive knowledge of swimming pool chemicals and their properties
• Knowledge of plumbing and equipment repairs
• Ability to lift heavy equipment; Ability to work in harsh weather conditions
• Wearing company approved attire (shirts are supplied) and well-groomed appearance
• Valid driver’s license.
