Reporting to the Vice President, the Accounting Manager will help lead the accounting and finance team at the new Shared Services Center.
Responsibilities
- Manage accounting functions on a day-to-day basis including AR, AP, Payroll, Treasury, and General Ledger.
- Timely, accurate, and efficient monthly accounting close including preparing various journal entries.
- Oversee the accounting staff’s work to ensure that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner and that accounts receivable balances are collected promptly.
- Manage the invoicing and payment processes for multiple construction related projects, including calculation of percentage of completion.
- Responsible for complete review of monthly financial reports.
- Perform technical accounting issue research and resolution as necessary.
- Assist senior management with preparation and completion of fiscal budgeting process.
- Develop forecasts to provide accurate projection of financial performance.
- Review polices and processes and make revisions when needed to improve function of the accounting group.
- Oversee and enforce internal controls.
- Assist the Vice President with special projects as needed.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting.
- CPA a plus.
- 7 years of experience in accounting or financial management, including leading teams.
- Organization and project management skills.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
- Experience with Sage 100 system a plus.
