The Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our AP department. This includes supervising AP staff, managing processes, and ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments. The successful candidate ensures that the department meets all financial deadlines and provides excellent customer service to internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the AP department, including supervising staff, managing workflows, and ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments (checks, wires, ACHs, and nettings).
- Manage payroll functions, financial statements, AP, basic job cost, account analysis, accruals, and year-end audits.
- Introduce invoicing process improvements that enhance AR/invoicing functions, reduce errors, and time spent on monthly reconciliations.
- Complete receiving’s.
- Lead the Metafile implementation.
- Assist with month-end close and reconciliations.
- Assist with JSOX audits.
- Guide AP clerical staff by answering questions and assisting with researching issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
- Three to five years’ AP experience.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
- Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office 365 and Excel.
- Inter-company AR and Recon experience.
- SAP, Metafile, Metafile software, Adaptive Insights (Workday Planning Module).
