- Assist Controller with preparation of accurate and timely financial statements for the development, property management and construction business
- Assist with preparation of supplemental financial reports as required or requested by senior management (includes general ledger maintenance, cash management, fixed assets, and project accounting)
- Perform the accounting for multiple apartment communities and land parcels
- Perform the corporate overhead accounting
- Work with the CFO to prepare checks for monthly construction company draw to subcontractors
- Update job cost detail reports as required to provide actual results
- Prepare month-end journal entries and bank reconciliations
- Process accounts payable, ensuring accurate and timely payments
- Maintain detailed fixed assets and depreciation schedule
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field
- Masters degree or CPA a plus
- Minimum 4 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years at a construction company
- Experience with Yardi and Sage preferred
