What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chemical Business Analyst position at Aquapharm PChem?
The Business Analyst will work with the CEO, finance, sales team and other heads of function to support business planning and analysis. The Business Analyst would be responsible for internal data analysis and reporting with meaningful insights, market research for new businesses, track and analyze competition, track organization progress based on identified KPIs and report to the relevant stakeholders. This position is located in The Woodlands, Texas.
Skills and Responsibilities
Analytical Thinking
Collate and analyze data, trends, processes, and systems to identify problems and opportunities. Strong analytical thinking enables business analysts to break down complex problems and recommend practical solutions, which is a core part of business analyst job duties.
Problem-Solving
Identifying issues within business processes and developing effective solutions. Problem-solving is crucial for business analyst job responsibilities, as they propose changes that enhance productivity, efficiency and sales, thus improving workflows across several sectors.
Communication Skills
Must liaise with stakeholders, including technical teams and upper management. Clear communication to ensure that all parties understand, to help meet project objectives.
Data Analysis
Interpreting and analyzing data with clear insights is a critical part. Business analysts will use tools like Excel, Power Point, Sales force, ERP & BI tools to generate insights that guide business strategies and operations. This is fundamental to fulfilling business analyst duties.
Stakeholder Management
Managing relationships with stakeholders is crucial, especially as they balance differing needs and expectations. Effective stakeholder management is part of the broader business analyst role in fostering collaboration between teams.
Process Modeling
Process modeling is a fundamental part to help identify inefficiencies and optimize workflows, techniques like flowcharts and diagrams to be used to visualize processes and recommend improvements
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualification and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in data analytics or related qualification that can help fulfill the responsibilities
- 3 to 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in Chemicals, preferably from Oil and Gas industry (upstream chemicals)
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical abilities.
- Experience in Excel and Microsoft Office
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent phone and customer service skills.
- Excellent command of the English language in both written and oral forms.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail, processing a sales aptitude and interested in preventing errors and solving problems.
