What are the responsibilities and job description for the QC Technician position at Aquapharm PChem?
The Quality Control (QC) Technician will perform laboratory activities for the organization in conformance with batch ticket documentation, defining manufacturing and analysis. Uses all necessary measuring and test equipment required to carry out laboratory operations in conformance with defined criteria and specifications. QC Technician reports to the VP - Technology and is located in Crockett, Texas.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Perform quality control tests in the lab as well as on-site when necessary.
· Assist with testing and calibrating lab equipment in preparation for specific tasks
· Perform quality control test on raw materials, finished goods and various samples.
· Prepare samples for shipments to customers.
· Organize, maintain and disposal of retain samples.
· Responsible for maintaining adequate supplies for the lab.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
· Clean and maintain lab equipment.
· Identify and troubleshoot equipment issues.
· Follow proper waste disposal and recycling methodologies.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability and knowledge of reading specifications and a basic understanding and knowledge of company’s equipment function and products through experience.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
· Ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms.
· Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
· Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
· Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
· Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
· Laboratory and/or office environment, indoor, temperature controlled.
