What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Assurance Manager position at Aquapharm PChem?
The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager responsibilities will include participating in developing and implementing quality assurance policies, conducting tests and inspections, identifying process issues, and presenting solutions. The QA Manager will provide leadership by further developing and will maintain a system of quality assurance and brand reliability for the organization’s products and/or development processes. There will be a direct report reporting to the QA Manager. This position will report to the EVP - Operations will be located in Crockett, Texas.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops, implements, and manages processes to ensure that products require specifications for quality, function, and reliability prior to delivery.
- Provide direct QA support to manufacturing through inspection, review documentation, and release incoming raw materials and packaging components, as needed.
- Deliver effective change leadership while driving business changes and minimizing people impact
- Develop and implement appropriate systems, metrics and processes for effectively detecting and solving issues toward standardizing and preventing recurrence.
- Troubleshoot and resolve product quality problems by researching problems, analyzing data, and developing solutions to problems.
- Oversee analytical work done at each step of the production process to assure that quality control standards are maintained.
- Manages and oversees all quality system certification processes to meet corporate compliance.
- Lead and participate in the CARs process with other members of the management team; including customer feedback, NCN investigations, internal/external audits, and any other quality issues as they arise.
- Identifies and analyzes issues, bugs, defects, and other problems, particularly when problems recur in multiple products and/or processes; recommends and facilitates solutions to these issues.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies.
- Participates in regular meetings with plant management to discuss quality improvements.
- Provide mentoring and training to the required personnel as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, or Technical (Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or any other Technical Degree)
- 5 years’ experience as Quality Leader and/or Manager in a manufacturing and/or plant operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to-lift up to 15 pounds
- Must possess functional vision, hearing, and speech to communicate effectively with managers, supervisors, and staff.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and interact with multiple teams.
