The Role
- Aquarian Holdings is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Second-Year Analyst with a strong Financial Institutions Group (FIG) Investment Banking background to support both our Corporate Development and Strategic Opportunities teams. This dual-focused role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of strategic initiatives and investment activities, while gaining exposure to high-profile projects in the financial services sector. The Analyst will report to the Investments and Corporate Development Principals.
- Analysts at Aquarian are considered integral members of the Investments Team and receive significant on-the-job and formalized training with the opportunity to take on progressively higher levels of responsibility. For high-performing individuals, we expect this role to provide significant advancement opportunities within the firm. The position is located in New York City, with an immediate hire date.
Specific responsibilities of the role include:
- Conduct detailed financial and market analysis to support decision-making for potential transactions, leveraging industry-specific knowledge to provide actionable insights
- Prepare financial models, presentations, and reports to communicate findings to senior management and stakeholders
- Support due diligence efforts, working closely with internal teams and external advisors to assess potential targets and investment opportunities
- Track industry trends, competitive landscapes, and regulatory changes affecting the financial services sector
- Assist with the evaluation of potential transactions, including performing due diligence, creating and building complex financial models, and preparing investment committee presentations
- Aid in the execution of approved transactions, including supporting the negotiation and development of term sheets and other legal documents
- Coordinate with third-party resources, including lawyers, bankers, and diligence service providers
- Conduct periodic and ad-hoc portfolio management and oversight of transactions that have been executed
- Collaborate with multiple teams, including but not limited to the Operations Team, Finance Team, and Legal Team, to ensure timely completion of fundings and compliance with regulatory guidelines
Desired coursework & experience:
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5
- Graduation year of 2023 or earlier
- Concentration in corporate finance, accounting, statistics, real estate, and/or economics with a strong academic record
- Financial Institutions Group (FIG) Investment Banking experience
- Robust skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications, as well as financial services applications such as Capital IQ, Bloomberg, Intex, etc.
- Intermediate understanding of credit investing, including pricing, interest calculation, and financing structures would be a plus

Salary : $95,000 - $110,000
