Accounting Associate Job Description
The Accounting Associate will play a critical role in supporting the team with a focus on AP, AR, cash management, and financial statement reconciliations. The selected candidate will work with members of the team to streamline workflows and ensure our accounting processes are as efficient as possible.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the general ledger, ensuring timely and accurate posting of all transactions.
- Prepare journal entries and perform monthly revenue reconciliations of the financial and CRM systems, as well as bank and other reconciliations as assigned.
- Manage receivables, monitoring outstanding balances, keeping cash flow moving smoothly, performing balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Support the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information for reporting purposes.
- Maintain organized documentation for all financial transactions to facilitate audits.
- Apply technical accounting principles to complex transactions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field with 3 years of relevant experience OR a minimum (5) years relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and financial reporting tools (including QuickBooks).
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly in managing accounting processes and reconciliations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements to financial processes and controls.
Compensation:
Total Compensation range for this position is $55,000/ year , based on experience.
