Aquaspersions Limited, a leading manufacturer and global supplier of high-quality water-based dispersions and emulsions, has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as Plant Manager for our new production facility in Louisiana.
As Plant Manager, you will be responsible for further developing and overseeing our plant and all plant operations, delivering customer satisfaction, and playing a key role in the continued growth of our local market.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership
- Direct and motivate a team of employees to achieve exceptional results.
- Develop and implement efficient production schedules to meet customer needs.
- Supervise and coach personnel to ensure optimal performance and job satisfaction.
- Manage plant administration, including demand planning, to guarantee compliance with established policies.
Operational Excellence
- Collaborate with the Group Production Director to optimize cost and yield performance of the Plant.
- Promote best operational practices and cost efficiencies across the Plant, ensuring quality and raw material utilization standards are consistently met.
- Review operations activities, including local transportation activities, to ensure adherence to all Federal, State, and local laws (OSHA, EPA, FD).
- Implement Lean initiatives to streamline processes and eliminate waste.
- Drive efficiencies in asset utilization through effective transportation scheduling, dispatch, & driver management, ensuring customer expectations are met.
Compliance and Safety
- Ensure consistent execution of all SOPs throughout the plant.
- Drive Safety improvements across the Plant.
- Guarantee ISO quality standards are met working closely with QC Manager.
- Manage maintenance of the site, including buildings.
- Manage the selection and preventative maintenance of equipment.
- Manage budgets for repairs and renewals, and contractors.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory role in an engineering or manufacturing setting.
- Proven track record of success in adhering to and exceeding OSHA standards.
- Effective leadership skills, coupled with experience managing teams.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Attention to detail, combined with strong analytical and organizational abilities.
- Self-driven and demonstrates initiative.
- Capable problem-solver.
- Familiarity with fleet management, transportation, distribution, and logistics is advantageous.
- Previous experience in managing Safety performance and programs.
