Aquatech has an immediate need for a full-time Intern to work in our Canonsburg, PA, office this summer. The hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The Intern will perform the duties described in the job description below and will be considered a non-exempt employee.
Job Description:
- Perform calculations for electrical equipment installation and design (including MCC sizing, switchgear, power transformers, and power cabling) and PLC/HMI-based control systems used in prominent water treatment technologies (including demineralizers, softeners, ultrafiltration, and R.O. plants).
- Prepare competitive cost estimates for the instrumentation, controls, and electrical equipment proposed for the project.
- Other miscellaneous duties or responsibilities as assigned to support the operations of the department or the company.
- Preparation of technical documentation
- Follow up with vendors
- Assist with proposal preparation
- Assist with project execution
- Review project inquiries and specifications to perform proposal preparation or installation/commissioning of process and analytical instrumentation for use in water treatment plants.
- Prepare preliminary design/selection of Electrical and Instrumentation & Control system equipment.
Skill Requirements:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
Internship:
- Aquatech Internships are in the office five days per week, 40 hours per week. The internship program is temporary employment that lasts for a maximum of ninety (90) days. Successful completion of this internship will provide you with invaluable skills in the water treatment industry and make a compelling addition to your professional journey.

Qualifications / Experience
- Two (2) years of experience in engineering or similar collegiate classes, preferably in Electrical Engineering.
- High School Diploma
