What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lifeguard - Park Hill Aquatic Center, part-time hours position at Aquatic Center?
POSITION TITLE: Lifeguard
F.L.S.A. Non-Exempt
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have completed Red cross lifeguard/CPR courses
- Be at least 15 years of age or older
- Possess mobility to supervise up to 60 children in the water at one time.
ESSSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Skilled in verbal communication with both children and adults.
- Available to work at least 10 hours every week.
- Be able to work until midnight on certain weekends
- Provide emergency first aid/CPR if needed.
- Develop positive relationships with both students and parents
- Provide a safe swimming environment for all the individuals that use the aquatic center
- Maintain a clean and safe swimming pool
- clean the facility on a daily basis
- have enough mobility to enter the pool from a stand and rescue a person that weighs up to 400 pounds
OTHER PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work collaboratively with other staff members and management
- Follow directions from the aquatic directors
- Abide by Red Cross life guarding principles and ideals
