Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic people to join our team. This role will primarily involve working with Fathead Minnows and Water Fleas (Daphnia) in a WET Lab environment, using microscopes and instruments to observe, monitor, and assist with other laboratory tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular care and maintenance of aquatic organisms, including Fathead Minnows and Water Fleas, ensuring they are kept in optimal environmental conditions.
- Use microscopes and other lab equipment to monitor the health and behavior of aquatic organisms that assists in determining the quality of the water.
- Document observations and other important data.
- Support the team with general lab tasks as needed, including preparing materials for tests and ensuring lab supplies are stocked.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the laboratory environment.
Experience:
- No prior laboratory experience required. Training will be provided.
- At least a high school diploma or GED is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A strong interest in biology, science, or environmental studies is a plus.
Schedule:
- 6-8 hour shift
- One weekend day required (Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday)
