remote role based out of Seattle .
Pay Range : 25 / hr – $30 / hr
Our client is seeking a Community Writer to develop informative and entertaining editorial content, copy-editing needs across social media, in-game News, and more.
Responsibilities
Write, build, and publish blog content for Halo Waypoint
Develop new blog series and editorial opportunities
Seek out and source details, input, and reviews with appropriate studio partners
Help support writing needs for social channels, in-game News, and more
Provide review and copy-edit support for public-facing content
Inform and spec ideal images and other asset needs to support blog posts
Partner with stakeholders to inform editorial strategy, planning, and calendar
Qualifications and Skills
Love for and understanding of all things Halo!
Experience and familiarity with the Halo community
A passion for writing and storytelling
Mastery of English, grammar, and current communication style guides
Ability to adapt and create compelling editorial content across different topics, voices, and tone
Driven self-starter who can come up with new content ideas and see them through to completion
Ability to drive and adhere to schedules and roadmaps while also being nimble to quickly adjust when changes arise
Impeccable organizational skills and attention to detail
Pluses
Familiarity with CMS (Content Management Systems) for blog creation and publishing (i.e. WordPress)
Experience creating and publishing consistent digital editorial content in the games / entertainment space
Familiarity with common HTML markup
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $25 / hr – $30 / hr. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location. Additional benefits offered may include :
