This role will work to identify vendors and manage the related processes to onboard them into our client's digital tool.
They are focused on analyzing the retail automotive marketplace to understand the products, services, and solutions that automotive retailers need to successfully run their businesses.
The individual in this role will be responsible for identifying and managing potential partnerships with vendors to drive awareness and sales through the ecommerce platform designed for dealers.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, have a deep understanding of automotive dealership digital marketing products, dealership operations and prior experience working in a dealership evaluating and onboarding vendors.
Essential Functions
1. Identify and understand emerging technologies, providers, and new trends, in the automotive retail and digital marketing industry
to contribute to the overall product/solution offering for its dealers.
2. Conduct market research to identify partnership opportunities and trends in the automotive industry.
3. Evaluate new vendors and work with internal teams to manage the vetting process.
4. Negotiate agreements with vendors to ensure alignment with company goals.
5. Onboard vendors, process updates on website, and troubleshoot issues to resolution.
6. Manage ongoing vendor relationships and address any concerns from dealers/retailers.
7. Monitor dealer feedback to ensure customer satisfaction.
8. Participate in partner events and initiatives to strengthen our market presence.
9. Maintain vendor scorecards to monitor partnership success.
Qualifications
- Experience in business development, vendor evaluation and vendor management, 5 years.
- Operational leadership experience working in an automotive dealership preferred, 5 years.
- Experience in negotiations, creating and managing contracts/agreements.
- Automotive dealer digital marketing experience preferred.
This is a hybrid role in Dearborn, Michigan. Candidates must be local, able and willing to work onsite 3 days per week.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $45/hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
