Job Description:
*This is a HYBRID role requiring 1-2 days/week on-site at our client locations in Vienna, VA, Pensacola, FL, San Diego, CA or Winchester, VA, open to authorized candidates on a W2, hourly basis.*
We are looking for a mid-to-senior level Front-End Developer with strong expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, and Angular (versions 15-19 ideal, 14 acceptable with strong fundamentals). The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading an agile team, handling assignments from start to finish, and eventually becoming the sole front-end developer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead an Agile team, ensuring efficient front-end development and integration.
- Develop new client-facing features for interactive web applications using modern web technologies.
- Implement a complete responsive UI web application with a focus on performance and accessibility.
- Work closely with the Product Owner, UX designers, and back-end engineers to ensure seamless integration.
- Write clean, well-structured, and maintainable code, ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Optimize code for performance, ensuring fast load times and smooth user experiences across devices.
- Use CSS preprocessors (e.g., SASS) to enhance maintainability and reusability.
- Integrate third-party components while maintaining consistency with the design system.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, participate in Agile ceremonies, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process.
Required Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Angular (15-19 preferred, 14 acceptable)
- Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript and JavaScript
- Expertise in CSS, Bootstrap, and ng-Bootstrap
- Experience with component libraries and design systems
- Experience working with large enterprise codebases, sharing stylesheets
- Experience writing reusable, semantic, and accessible HTML & CSS
- Knowledge of browser developer tools (e.g., Chrome DevTools)
- Ability to manage and interface with RESTful APIs
- Comfortable with GitHub and version control workflows
- Experience writing test cases using Karma, Protractor, or other testing frameworks
- Familiarity with Azure and AWS is helpful but not required
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Storybook (or similar tools) for UI development
- DevOps experience, including creating configuration, build, and test scripts for Continuous Integration environments
- Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Agile methodologies
- Knowledge of WCAG 2.0 accessibility standards and best practices
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $69 to $77 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
