About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and creative Junior Designer to join our growing Creative Team. Our design team works behind the scenes to create stunning graphics that bring our brand campaigns to life-online and in the real world. We're looking for someone who is passionate about the world of design and who has a deep understanding of the basic principles of graphic design-typography, color, composition & working with photography. This person should also be interested in design for both digital and print spaces including but not limited to websites, email marketing, social media, in-store collateral, and marketing materials for events. You will be working closely with our team to craft captivating designs while providing support with production design for our website, emails, paid media ads, and more!
This opportunity will require strong critical thinking skills and the ability to multitask and pivot priorities when necessary in order to be prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment. You will be required to commit to a full-time 40 hour work week and be in-office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
Role & Responsibilities
Assist in the creation of visually stunning designs for campaigns.
Perform production design tasks (resizing images, making edits, exporting files).
Assist with preparing presentations for creative review meetings.
Provide support for print, visual merchandising, digital content on site, email, and social media.
Maintain brand aesthetic in designs.
Optimize files to output specifications.
Qualifications
Entry-level junior designer with 1-3 years of experience.
Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or similar.
Prior experience in graphic design with strong portfolio demonstrating skillset; experience in beauty or skincare is preferred but not required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Figma, PhotoShop, Illustrator, Google Workspace (additional Adobe Creative Suite knowledge is a plus).
Solid understanding of rules of design, hierarchy, typography, working with pixels.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $35 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
