Merchandising Systems Analyst

Our client is seeking a Merchandising Systems Analyst to join the Catalog Systems team within the Merchandising Systems & Services (MSS) organization. The MSS team is responsible for creating the systems, services, and process infrastructure that support business and category teams, driving long-term customer trust, business growth, and profitability. This role plays a critical part in ensuring pricing, catalog/content, and vendor systems & services operate efficiently, with a strong focus on automation, product data management, and process optimization.

The ideal candidate will bring a blend of information systems expertise, merchandising business process knowledge, and data analysis skills. They should have a functional understanding of catalog and/or ERP systems, along with a technical grasp of underlying system data structures and processes. We’re looking for someone who is detail-oriented, driven, and innovative, with a strong sense of ownership over their work.

Key Responsibilities:

• New Item Setup: Add new products to internal systems, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
• Brand Partner Collaboration: Communicate with vendors to secure high-quality product content, digital assets, and specifications.
• Data Quality Assurance: Perform quality audits on product pages to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
• Data Analysis & Insights: Synthesize large datasets into actionable insights to improve merchandising processes.
• System Implementation: Support system implementation projects by documenting requirements, configuring systems, executing test plans, and resolving issues.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Retail Management, Finance, or a related field.
• 0-3 years of experience in business systems, merchandising analytics, or catalog management.
• Strong background in data analysis, KPI tracking, and process improvement.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite products.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to translate complex analysis into actionable business insights.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and process optimization.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with software quality processes and tools like JIRA and Confluence.
• Experience working with ERP systems.
• Proficiency in SQL and/or Tableau.
• Previous experience in e-commerce is a plus.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $19.80 to $22 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
