Our client, the nation's largest retailer, is looking for a Principal Content Designer to join their award-winning design team and help them shape the future of retail.

As a Principal Content Designer, you’ll distill complex problems into easy-to-understand experiences, creating content that is purposeful for our customers, associates, suppliers and partners worldwide. You will create and champion the highest quality content, helping drive the development of foundational tools, frameworks and resources that allow the team to scale efficiently and deliver excellent, consistent and compelling work. Collaborating with design, product and business partners, you’ll positively shape products and foster an inclusive associate experience with your artful use of voice, content best practices and end-to-end UX strategies. You’ll employ your great strengths in storytelling to present your vision and content rationale in a compelling, convincing manner to the wider team and leadership.

Help us identify, define and implement solutions that go beyond words and integrate seamlessly into the lives of their users.

• A demonstrated track record working cross-functionally, shipping successful product copy in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience facilitating workshops and aligning stakeholders through the use of sound rationale — finding opportunities to bring out the best in people and flex to the needs of the program by refining the messaging.
• A deep appreciation for systems thinking and a keen understanding of information architecture, both from a design and content lens.
• A positive mindset with a penchant for puzzles. You’re nimble and understand innately what ‘less is more’ means to the user.
• he ability to produce great work in short timeframes, multi-task across different projects and platforms and adapt to the ever-changing priorities of the business.

Preferred qualifications:

• Degree in Communications, Journalism, Digital Design, or similar.
• 8 years of experience in UX content strategy/design (not product marketing).
• A portfolio with UX case studies showcasing your craft, impact and collaborative process.
• Experience participating in peer reviews and working within a crit culture.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
