Overview:
As a Solutions Architect, you will be a key technical leader responsible for consulting, analyzing, and recommending technology solutions that directly address business needs. This role demands a deep understanding of software applications, system integration, product evaluation, system implementation, and software development. You will take both a strategic and tactical approach to current and future technology needs, guiding decisions that shape the overall application functionality landscape.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate diverse technology application solutions based on business use cases and desired outcomes.
- Lead and document formal solution evaluations, considering factors such as business benefits, cost, operational impact, security risks, and strategic alignment.
- Provide expert technical consultation to business and technology teams, ensuring solutions are efficient, effective, and adhere to established standards.
- Assess existing solutions to maximize their capabilities and value.
- Identify underutilized or redundant solutions and recommend consolidation strategies to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive solution, system, and data flow documentation.
- Lead knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance teams' understanding of existing systems.
- Contribute to the development and maturity of the enterprise technology architecture program.
- Collaborate with vendors and third parties to analyze design options, enhance solutions, and ensure contracted work meets standards and timelines.
- Continuously research emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to leadership.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a computer/technology or related field (preferred).
- 10 years of IT experience, including direct experience implementing complex software applications and system integrations.
- 7 years of experience in a structured IT organization using various methodologies and strong technical environment management disciplines.
- Mastery/certification in one or more standard architecture frameworks or technologies.
- Proven ability to influence both business and technology professionals.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Financial services industry experience.
- Consulting experience.
- Strong knowledge of software applications, development, data integration, and technology strategic planning.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the software development lifecycle and Agile implementation projects.
- Ability to organize and coordinate cross-functional technical and business teams.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills with attention to detail.
- Creative thinking, problem-solving skills, and adaptability to new ideas.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $74.96 to $83.29 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
