Responsibilities
Ensure all operations are conducted safely and comply with established EHS policies and procedures.
Build an effective and efficient team by providing coaching, guidance, and fostering collaboration and teamwork.
Coordinate activities and allocate work based on labor requirements, focusing on improving operational efficiency.
Support team development by enhancing their skills and preparing them for future leadership roles.
Oversee the recruitment process to select candidates who align with our culture, values, and business objectives.
Ensure shipping operations meet customer expectations for quality, accuracy, and on-time performance, including adherence to trade compliance regulations.
Manage timely unloading, receiving, storage, and delivery of materials while maintaining inventory accuracy and preventing product damage.
Champion Lean principles through the Business Operating System (BOS), driving cost reduction and productivity improvements while achieving site-specific goals.
Identify and implement cost-saving measures to enhance operational efficiency.
Develop, implement, and continuously improve standard work processes.
Manage suppliers and service providers that support receiving, warehousing, and shipping operations.
Participate in and support strategic planning and problem-solving initiatives to advance toward a world-class distribution model, collaborating with other company functions.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements :
Demonstrates a strong customer service mindset, providing dedicated support to meet internal customer needs.
Possesses expertise in computerized integrated information systems, including manufacturing, materials management, production planning, procurement, and distribution.
Experience collaborating with carriers, freight forwarders, and vendors.
Exhibits flexibility, decisiveness, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Thrives in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
Possesses strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Skilled in conflict resolution and coaching for continuous improvement.
Resourceful in identifying solutions to unique challenges and addressing customer needs effectively.
Maintains a solid understanding of warehouse material flow and logistics.
Displays strong analytical and organizational skills, with exceptional attention to detail and proficiency with numbers.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain / Logistics, or a related field.
Strong leadership abilities with excellent supervisory skills.
At least 5 years of experience in an operations leadership role.
Experience as a Distribution / Warehouse Manager or managing large distribution / warehouse operations is preferred.
Exceptional communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) with the ability to engage effectively with senior leadership, peers, and operations staff.
Proven ability to lead through influence, coaching, mentoring, and teaching, fostering a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
Experience with Oracle WMS is preferred.
APICS certification is a plus.
Compensation :
120,000 to $150,000 annual salary, depending on experience.
