Aquila's Fitness Specialist assists members in safe and effective exercise and performs a wide range of technical exercise and administrative duties in health/fitness center.
This is an in-person position that will begin as soon as possible. The hourly pay for this position is $21.77/hour and candidates must be able to work 40 hours a week, Monday-Friday, both a 6 a.m.-2 p.m. shift, and a 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. on alternating days.

Responsibilities include:
- Supervise exercise areas
- Educate members concerning safe exercise techniques
- Teach group exercise classes
- Perform exercise assessments and prescribe exercise upon American College of Sports Medicine guidelines
- Conduct safe and effective assessments including cardiovascular, strength, flexibility and body composition analysis; evaluate and interpret data and identify high risk participants and special populations
- Aid members - spotting and equipment usage
- Explain all equipment
- Ensure the maintenance, cleanliness and safety of all equipment
- Adhere to departmental and club policies and procedures
- Adhere to client?s policies and procedures
- Attend staff meetings
- Assist in wellness and fitness promotions and external events
- Perform daily administrative duties
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Kinesiology, Exercise Science or in related health/fitness field OR an Active NCCA accredited national fitness certification (ACE, NASM, AFAA, ACSM, NCSF, NSCA or other NCCA accredited certification)
- Active CPR certification
- 1-2 years experience in supervising adults during exercises
