Aquila's Fitness Coordinator assists in overseeing fitness center programs, assists members in safe and effective exercise and performs a wide range of technical exercise and administrative duties in health/fitness center.
The salary range for this position is $23.08-$26.44 hourly, which is $48,000-$55,000 annually, depending on experience, plus company benefits listed below. The start date for the position will be in 1-2 months. Candidates must be able to work in person 40 hours a week, 8 hours daily, Monday-Friday. There is no weekend work.

- Act as liaison on-site with Aquila's client contact
- To make recommendations and assist in the formulation of fitness center policies and plans
- To supervise and monitor exercise participants, perform exercise assessments, and exercise prescription
- To teach group fitness movement classes
- Conduct personal fitness training sessions with members of fitness center
- To assist with selection and supervision of one other team member
- Prepare reports as needed regarding the fitness center operations
- Supervise exercise areas
- Educate members concerning safe exercise techniques
- Perform exercise assessments and prescribe exercise upon American College of Sports Medicine guidelines
- Conduct safe and effective assessments including cardiovascular, strength, flexibility and body composition analysis; evaluate and interpret data and identify high risk participants and special populations
- Aid members - spotting and equipment usage
- Explain all equipment
- Ensure the maintenance, cleanliness and safety of all equipment
- Adhere to departmental and club policies and procedures
- Adhere to client's policies and procedures
- Attend staff meetings
- Assist in wellness and fitness promotions and external events
- Perform daily administrative duties
- Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Health Promotion, or related field
- Active, NCCA accredited National Fitness Certification - (ACE, ACSM, NSCA, NASM, NCSF, NCCPT or AFAA) (can be obtained within 90 days of hire)
- Active CPR/BLS certification
- 1-2 years experience supervisory and fitness experience
- Strong organizational and managerial skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Customer service oriented
- Computer knowledge: Microsoft Office Products & Network Internet
- Modern principles and practices of organization, administration, budget, and management
- Acts with a sense of urgency
- Excellent communication, organizational and management skills
- Detail oriented, punctual and motivating
Salary : $48,000 - $55,000
