Aquinas Consulting is seeking a JR Controls Engineer job for our client. In this role, you will manage Plant Electrical Engineering responsibilities for local manufacturing facilities. This includes plant power distribution, Lockout Tagout, data acquisition systems, and the electrical components of production lines, standalone equipment, and systems.
JR Controls Engineer Job Responsibilities :
- Program and troubleshoot AC / DC digital / analog drive systems, PLCs, and HMI programs.
- Maintain and update production line PLC programs on a network drive for accessibility.
- Perform electrical design, modifications, instrumentation upgrades, and troubleshooting.
- Manage Arc Flash analysis and ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC, NFPA, ANSI, and UL standards.
- Set up and maintain machine data acquisition systems and software for production lines.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical failures, implement upgrades to improve machine uptime and reliability.
- Prepare and update electrical plans, specifications, and schematic drawings using AutoCAD.
- Maintain electrical and mechanical Lockout / Tagout SPIMS following OSHA safety standards.
- Support LEAN Manufacturing tools like 5S 1 and TPM to enhance manufacturing quality and cost efficiency.
- Build strong collaborative relationships with engineering, maintenance, and IT teams to troubleshoot and optimize manufacturing processes.
