Aquinas Consulting is seeking to fill a Tribology Materials Engineer job for our client in Fairfield, CT. This role focuses on developing and testing new products, improving manufacturing processes, and optimizing self-lubricating liner products and tribological coatings. The Materials Engineer will collaborate cross-functionally to drive product development, efficiency improvements, and yield optimization.
Materials Engineer job Responsibilities :
- Develop new liner systems and technologies in collaboration with corporate R&D teams.
- Incorporate new technologies into the product line and test for performance compliance.
- Transition new technologies into standardized, repeatable manufacturing processes.
- Optimize existing self-lubricated product lines for increased yields and operational efficiencies.
- Evaluate manufacturing capabilities and align processes for repeatability and consistency.
- Perform analytical evaluations of existing and newly developed products and processes.
- Develop detailed project plans, cost estimates, and test plans for product development projects.
- Conduct research and trade studies to determine optimal design options and materials.
- Manage and execute product development projects, ensuring on-time delivery and budget adherence.
- Lead and conduct testing for product qualification, documenting and analyzing results.
