About the Role
Reporting to Linbeck’s VP of Field Operations and the Director of Didymus Equipment Company, LLC, the Didymus Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of operations and services performed by the Didymus business unit. This includes direct management of Didymus-owned equipment rental to project teams, passthrough rental coordination, asset tracking, invoicing to projects, and proactive business planning to drive future growth. The Didymus Manager ensures seamless integration of rental operations into Linbeck project execution while leading the strategic expansion of Didymus offerings.
Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED, required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or Business, preferred
- Certifications in equipment management or construction project management are preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in equipment management within the construction industry.
- Experience with asset tracking, maintenance scheduling, and inventory management.
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and techniques.
- Proficient with construction management software and equipment tracking systems.
- Experience in managing multiple projects and coordinating with various teams.
- Ability to develop and implement equipment management plans that align with project timelines and budgets.
- Knowledge of budgeting and cost control related to equipment procurement and maintenance.
- Ability to optimize equipment usage to maximize return on investment (ROI).
- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and technological advancements in equipment management.
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure all equipment is properly maintained and documented.
Primary Duties
- Manage the full lifecycle of Didymus-owned equipment: acquisition, deployment, maintenance, return, and disposition
- Oversee passthrough rentals from third-party vendors, ensuring coordination, compliance, and value
- Implement and manage an accurate asset management system for all Didymus-related equipment across Linbeck projects
- Lead the invoicing process, ensuring transparency, timeliness, and integration with project accounting
- Establish and manage selected company accounts
- Manage company vehicle program
- Consumables
- Establish and manage yearly business plan goals and actions
- Develop and implement Didymus Growth Plan
- Understand the use-cases of technology services offered by Linbeck Applied Technologies (LAT)
- Assist in identifying projects needing such services
- Manage equipment yard and warehouse
- Prepare and execute maintenance agreements
- Foster meaningful relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Oversee vendor and supplier accounts
- Develop and maintain reporting dashboards for utilization, cost recovery, and equipment ROI
- Collaborate with project teams to forecast rental needs and align Didymus offerings accordingly
- Evaluate equipment performance, identify improvement opportunities, and plan for upgrades or replacements
- Lead strategic planning for Didymus expansion including market analysis, business case development, and capital planning
- Develop and monitor KPIs to ensure financial health and operational efficiency of the Didymus unit
- Supervise and develop any direct reports assigned to support Didymus operations
- Ensure all Didymus processes align with Linbeck’s Safety, Quality, and Productivity (SQP) standards
- Actively participate in Lean and SQP practices to optimize Didymus workflows and eliminate waste
- Prepare and present monthly reports to senior management
Physical Requirements
Must be physically fit enough to function safely on a project site and office setting. This includes the following:
