Environmental Technician (0-3 years of experience)
We are seeking an ambitious individual to join our Lakewood, Colorado office. If the candidate is an engineer working towards their PE, they will receive service years towards their 4 year work experience requirement under an Aquionix PE.
Primary roles and responsibilities will include:
Scheduling and performance of field sampling and monitoring;
After-hours sampling;
Review and analysis of data;
Preparation of reports;
Maintenance of field sampling and monitoring equipment;
Coordination with off-site laboratory services;
Education: A bachelor’s degree in environmental, health and safety, industrial hygiene, engineering, science or a related technical field is required.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will have:
Have a bachelor's degree, preferably in science or engineering;
Experience/knowledge of water quality sampling/compliance;
Have experience in water quality sampling/compliance (wastewater, stormwater, drinking water, ground water);
Be able to think analytically;
Be detail oriented and a competent technical writer;
Be well organized and able to manage several projects at once;
Be able to schedule and complete work with minimal supervision;
Have excellent communication skills;
Be proficient on computers and with Microsoft Office applications;
Be able to manipulate field equipment that weighs up to 50-pounds;
Be able to work in extreme weather conditions and at high altitude;
Have a basic understanding of mechanical and electrical concepts;
Be available for occasional overnight travel;
Have valid driver's license and an excellent driving record; and
Have basic knowledge of EPA and local environmental rules and regulations.
The successful candidate must have a clean driving record, pass a criminal background check, and pass a drug and alcohol screening prior to employment.
Salary Range: $50K - $55K (depending on experience)
Salary : $50,000 - $55,000
