What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Coordinator position at AR Foreman Construction?
The material coordinator will be responsible for assisting operations with the identification, purchase, and issuance of parts, controlling inventory in multiple field locations and the handling of purchase order receipt documentation and inventory records.
Functional Responsibilities
- Partners with construction team members to anticipate, assess and meet inventory needs.
- Monitor and maintain current inventory level; processes purchasing orders as required; tracks orders and investigates problems.
- Validate the delivered items against the purchase orders.
- Receives, unpacks, and quality inspects items
- Processes and documents returns as required following established procedures.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- Reports discrepancies between physical counts and computer records.
- Assists with developing and improving inventory management
- Organize and distribute supplies, equipment and merchandise.
- Material order procurement; paperwork processing
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Vast knowledge of PVF. Pipe, Valves and Fittings
- Excellent math, inventory control.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work extended hours and occasionally travel.
- Organizational skills
- Sufficient in reading P&IDS, Isometric Drawings, AUTOCAD 3-D application
- Excel and Word Document proficiency
- Moderate lifting
