Job Summary : Under limited supervision, uses intermediate skills obtained through experience and training facilitate ongoing training / professional development opportunities for adults by creating a safe learning environment designed to engage adult students to reach their professional goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Organize and obtain course materials such as handouts and visual materialsFacilitate training using specified curricula at locations identified by agency managementPresent information using best practice strategies in adult learning to implement trainingAssist in the development of alternative training classes, if expected outcomes are not seenUse knowledge to inform equipping training materials and activities relevant to trainingMonitor, evaluate and record training activities and program effectivenessMaintain accurate and complete data records and prepare reporting, as neededParticipate fully in continued professional development opportunities throughout employment with other network agencies and staffSet up classroom with technology and manipulatives as requiredMay assess training needs of each participant through the use of entrance interviews, assessment testing and collaboration with program case managersMay create targeted lesson plans for each individual or groups of individuals designed to help the participant(s) obtain entry-level employment skillsMay use a variety of instructional techniques and formats such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos and lecturesMay assist in organizing program events both in the classroom and in the community to support program objectivesMay conduct community outreach activities and awareness campaigns to increase recognition and participation in services offeredMay observe and provide feedback regarding training specialist and instructors- lesson deliveryMay conduct classroom observations and skill development for other training specialists and instructorsMay represent ACCESS to external partners on boards, community groups and coalitionsMay support reporting efforts for ACCESS, funders, and other community stakeholdersMay work with supervisor to determine volunteer placement and maintenanceMay teach various program classes as neededMaintain currency in training and development techniquesOperate standard office equipment and use required software applicationsPerform other duties and responsibilities as assignedKnowledge, Skills and Abilities :

Minimum Degree Required :For Workforce Development : Bachelor-s Degree in Education, Computer Science, or other related degree programFor Youth & Education : Bachelor-s Degree in Education, Early Childhood Development, or other related degree programAt least two years of hands-on experience planning and implementing lesson plans and teaching / tutoring adults or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and / or training approved by Human ResourcesLicenses / Certifications :
