Job Description:
As a Field Project Manager in Land Development, you will oversee and coordinate construction
and development projects, ensuring successful execution aligned with timelines, budgets, and
quality standards. Acting as a vital link between office-based teams, contractors, and
stakeholders, you will ensure seamless communication and workflow on-site. This role also
emphasizes compliance with local regulations, safety protocols, and environmental requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning:
- Monitor project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, and budgets.
- Collaborate with contractors to clarify specifications and ensure project goals are
achievable.
Site Management:
- Oversee daily operations at development sites, managing labor, equipment, and materials
to maintain progress.
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure adherence to project plans and address any on-site
challenges.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to land use,
environmental impact, safety, and zoning.
Quality Control:
- Implement and monitor quality control measures to maintain construction standards.
- Perform inspections and resolve issues to align work with project specifications.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and create mitigation strategies, including addressing
environmental impacts and safety concerns.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and motivate a diverse team of construction workers, subcontractors, and project
personnel.
- Resolve conflicts and foster teamwork to achieve project objectives.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records, including progress reports, issue logs, and compliance
documentation.
- Assist in preparing documentation for project completion and final inspections.
Completion Oversight:
- Ensure all project stages meet required standards before final approval.
Skills & Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in land development or construction project
management.
- Proficiency in Smartsheet (training available).
- Strong knowledge of land development processes, including site preparation, utility
installation, and grading.
- Exceptional organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with zoning laws, permitting processes, and environmental regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety and Health Certification.
- Experience in environmental geotechnics or ground improvement techniques.
- Hands-on experience in fieldwork and leading geotechnical investigations.
